2,UL listing and approval
The UL stands for "Underwriters Laboratory". It used to be an Insurance Industry organization, but now it is independent and non-profit. It tests electrical components and equipments for potential hazards.When something is UL-listed, that means that the UL has tested the device, and it meets their requirements for safety - ie: fire or shock hazard. 3,CE approval and mark
CE testing and approval is a LEGAL requirement for all electronic and electrical goods sold as new within European Economic Community (EEC)
The CE mark means that the item has passed very strict quality and safety testing, and fit for sale within the EEC.
